About Me
Hello! I’m Sarah, an experienced editor and supervisor who has now added English teaching to my repertoire. Thank you for your interest in my work.
I have edited materials for some of the most recognizable pharmaceutical companies and brands in the world. I truly LOVE editing, as catching errors and helping writing to blossom into its full potential captivates me like nothing else.
I also adore English and its lexicon of medicine and healthcare, and my role in ensuring that information is delivered to patients and healthcare providers clearly, accurately, and impactfully has been so gratifying.
However, the most rewarding experiences of my career have involved acting as a mentor and teacher to others. Helping colleagues to learn and grow, to reach those “aha!” moments, and to enhance their confidence in themselves has been so fulfilling. Reflecting on this fact led me to expand my professional offerings and become formally certified in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL).
While I specialize in English for medical and healthcare settings, I also offer broader English teaching services and have experience in academic editing and business English.
Feel free to explore the “My Services” page and contact me for a free consultation to discuss your specific needs.
Regarding my background and qualifications, I am a native English speaker from New York with a BS degree in health science (magna cum laude) and an MPH degree with a concentration in epidemiology, both from Boston University. I have spent nearly a decade as an editor working in medical communications and pharmaceutical advertising, and I am a certified TEFL Level 5 instructor.
In my downtime, you can catch me watching this season’s anime, rewatching Pride and Prejudice (2005), listening to film or musical soundtracks, or planning my next international trip.
